Privacy Policy - GameCam
This Privacy Policy explains how CourtSide Labs ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the GameCam mobile application ("GameCam" or the "App").
1. Information handled by GameCam
You can record matches without creating a GameCam account. The App may handle camera video, microphone audio, recordings, clips, scores, team information, logos, player numbers, watermarks, App settings, streaming configuration, connected-account credentials, limited provider account details, and purchase status supplied by Google Play.
2. Camera, microphone, and recordings
GameCam uses your camera and microphone only when you use recording, preview, highlight, or live-streaming features. Media is processed on your device. Recordings and clips are saved locally or to your device gallery. We do not receive a copy on our own servers.
3. Connected streaming accounts and OAuth
Connecting a provider is optional. Authentication is performed by that provider. GameCam stores the resulting credentials locally in App storage so you do not need to reconnect before every match.
- YouTube: OAuth access and refresh tokens are used to create and configure a live broadcast you request.
- Twitch: OAuth credentials, limited account details such as username, and the retrieved channel stream key are used for your broadcast.
- Facebook: the Facebook SDK stores an access token and app-scoped user identifier locally. GameCam requests permission to create a live video when you choose to broadcast.
- Custom RTMP: the server URL and stream key you enter are stored locally and sent only to the destination you selected.
When you start a live stream, video and audio are transmitted directly to the selected provider and processed under its policies. Disconnecting removes the local connection; you may also revoke access through the provider.
4. Remote control
The optional remote-control feature runs a temporary service on your local network so another device can control the scoreboard. It uses a temporary access token and is intended to remain on your local network.
5. Advertising and purchases
The free version may display Google AdMob advertisements. Google may process advertising identifiers, IP address, device information, and ad interactions. Purchases are processed by Google Play; we do not receive full payment-card information.
6. Local storage and retention
Settings, recordings, streaming credentials, connected-account tokens, and related details remain locally on your device until you remove them by disconnecting providers, deleting recordings, clearing GameCam storage, or uninstalling the App. Streams already sent to a provider must be deleted through that provider.
7. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. Information is sent to a provider only when you connect it or request a stream, and to Google services as needed for advertising, purchases, and platform functionality.
8. Security
GameCam uses Android-provided App storage and provider-supported authentication. Protect your device, accounts, and custom stream keys, and disconnect accounts before transferring your device.
9. Children's privacy and recording others
GameCam is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in the user's jurisdiction. You are responsible for obtaining any consent required before recording or streaming players, spectators, or minors.
10. Your choices and deletion
You may revoke Android permissions, disconnect providers, revoke GameCam through each provider, delete recordings, or clear/uninstall the App. See our Data Deletion Instructions.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy as GameCam changes. The revised date will appear at the top.
